Lauren Alaina Says She Owes Kane Brown This One Thing

Back in 2016, childhood friends Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina put out a song called “What Ifs” that would prove to be one of the biggest hits of both of their careers to this day.

Early in 2025, that song reached diamond status with the RIAA, which means it has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

In February of 2025, Lauren Alaina told me on Taste of Country Nights that she and Brown were getting matching tattoos of a diamond to commemorate the moment forever.

Well, Brown got his diamond tattoo, but Alaina told me this week that she still has yet to get her matching tattoo with Brown — though she was going to change that.

Lauren Alaina Will Finally Make Good on a Promise to Kane Brown

Alaina admitted that there was a major life changing event that got in the way of the tattoo. She says, “I was pregnant so I hadn’t… you know what? I need to… I told him I would.”

After joking with her that she was taking way too long to fulfill her promise to Brown, she doubled down on what she said. “Now that we’ve put out another song together, I’ll go get my diamond tattoo.”

How Many Tattoos Does Lauren Alaina Have?

Alaina tells me “I’m not a tattoo gal, I have one tattoo.” After laughing about the situation some more she got quite serious and said “I need to do it,” convincingly enough for me to confidentially tell you that she means business and will finally fulfill her promise to Brown after all.
