Tom Ford’s Spring 2027 collection showcases tiny briefs

Paris Fashion Week brings new trends, and among them, Tom Ford creative director Haider Ackermann showcased a penchant for tiny pants.

In Tom Ford’s provocative Spring 2027 collection, the more leg on show, the better. Amongst classic tailored cashmere jumpers and sharply cut suits, models strutted the runway in neon pink underwear and tiny white shorts. 

These dramatic garment cuts were among the collection’s highlights, playfully exposing and erotic, with plunging necklines, revealing bodysuits, and barely-there swimsuits.

Sharing the announcement of the Spring presentation, Ackermann wrote: “Seduction is the pillar on which this house is built. This time I felt like pushing it further, closer to danger.

“There is something deeply sexual in the body that reveals itself without offering itself. In a gesture that feels spontaneous and perilous at once.

“Sexuality does not need to shout. It can be silent and powerful: a tremor under the skin. Fragility, likewise, is not the opposite of strength. Sometimes one can look like the other.”

Elle’s review of the show details: “Prints and overt ornamentation were nonexistent here (as, often, they were under Ford himself), but the real drama was in the cuts and severity of the looks.

“The clothes projected a quiet confidence, and with it, an undeniable sexuality.”

Meanwhile, Who What Wear writes that the collection is “sexy, sensual, and sophisticated”.

Adding: “The runway featured several outfits with tiny underwear paired with sweaters. Later, the focus shifted to sheer bodysuits and daring cutout leotards that naturally drew attention.”

For the show, Alex Consani strutted down the runway. The trans model has been making waves in the modelling world and in her entry into acting, including American Horror Story.

‘An undeniable sexuality’

One of the collection’s most talked-about images is, of course, the pink thong. The male model sported the garment with a brown crewneck. His accessories included a leather bag and a luxury vicuña coat held alongside a newspaper.

Elsewhere, another model in a white suit made a case that one of the coolest accessories is baring your legs. The model rocked an all-white look with a mesh vest, blazer and tiny white shorts that expose the thighs. 

Ackermann is clearly loving this new freedom, altering silhouettes and putting out playful looks on the runway, pushing the fashion house’s boundaries.

“I told the team I want to continue this conversation. Let’s have joy – and take more risks – it makes us feel good — and alive,” he said.
