Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building is jetting across the pond, and there are some great British cameos gracing the show.
Hulu’s murder mystery show is coming to London with its sleuthing trio: Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez). The trio host a true-crime podcast in their posh New York apartment building.
This is the first time the cosy show has taken place outside the US. But with a new setting and building to investigate, there are some great cameos on the guest list. Previously, the show has featured major cameos, from Meryl Streep to Paul Rudd.
The previously announced Season 6 recurring guest stars also include Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis, Kathryn Hunter, Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, Sharon Horgan, Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi and Lesley Nicol.
Here are the newly announced guest stars for the show’s London instalment:

Olivia Colman
Heartstopper sweetheart Olivia Colman was recently announced to be a major guest star.
“We have had so many amazing guest stars for Only Murders in the Building,” Gomez said in the announcement video on Instagram.
“We’re just missing one,” Streep added before Colman stepped into frame. It seems they’re all dressed in character; Colman dressed in a long light brown dress.
Ever the energetic and memorable presence, scene-stealing Colman is sure to be a perfect addition to the hit show.

Peter Capaldi
Doctor Who alum Peter Capaldi, who played the twelfth incarnation of the Doctor, is also stepping on the Only Murders in the Building set. After battling off Cybermen and the Daleks, facing a potential murderer is a new challenge for Capaldi.
Alongside his acting career, the 68-year-old Scottish actor is a keen musician. Capaldi is a guitarist; perhaps we’ll see him get out the instrument in one of the show’s bizarrely hilarious scenes. The show always finds a unique way to incorporate its guests.

Jodie Whittaker
Capaldi’s successor and the first woman to portray the iconic Time Lord, Jodie Whittaker is also making a cameo. Whittaker starred in three series and five specials of Doctor Who.
Her casting was widely discussed, and it opened up conversation about representation in mainstream broadcasting. The 44-year-old actress is also best known for playing Beth Latimer in Broadchurch from 2013 to 2017.

David Tennant
Capaldi and Whittaker are not the only Doctor Who stars set to make an Only Murders in the Building cameo. David Tennant will be the third Time Lord actor to appear in the show’s sixth season.
Tennant, who played the Tenth Doctor and the Fourteenth Doctor, will be in the murder mystery. Will he be an investigator or perhaps the culprit? We’ll have to wait and see.
Throughout his career, Tennant has been a staunch LGBTQ+ ally, from standing with trans rights to telling anti-LGBTQ+ speakers to “shut up.”

Jim Broadbent
Jim Broadbent joins a star-studded lineup of new British additions; the 77-year-old star is set to bring some British whimsy to the set.
The actor is best known for Bridget Jones’s Diary, Harry Potter and Paddington. While the details of Broadbent’s character are being kept under wraps, he’s said to be a recurring guest star.

Nicola Coughlan
Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan has delighted fans with the news that she’ll have a cameo in Only Murders in the Building. Coughlan also starred in Doctor Who, though not as a Time Lord but as character Joy Almondo in a one-off episode.
The 39-year-old, also known for Derry Girls, is a beloved Irish actor who’s been a vocal LGBTQ+ advocate throughout her career. Just last year, she helped raise £60k for a trans charity in the wake of the UK’s Supreme Court ruling on the legal definition of a woman.
