Fan-Created ‘Star Wars: Deathtroopers’ Game Sees You Taking on Zombified Stormtroopers [Trailer]

You thought that April 12 release date for the upcoming Fallout” adaptation from Prime Video was early? Get ready, because now the release is even earlier! Prime Video has announced that it will now premiere all eight episodes on April 10 at 6 pm PT.

The surprise announcement was revealed in a new commercial for the series that aired during Monday’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Game. Series star Walton Goggins (check out our interview with him, by the way) confirmed the news, encouraging fans to watch the series early in a video shared on social media. The special release of “Fallout” includes a live global fan premiere of the first episode on Prime Video, where fans can choose their faction and interact with others via a live chat function.

Jonathan Nolan directed the first three episodes of the Kilter Films series, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serving as executive producers, writers, and co-showrunners. The series comes from Kilter Films and executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Athena Wickham of Kilter Films also executive produces, along with Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks.

Based on one the acclaimed video game series, “Fallout” is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

Ella Purnell is Lucy, an optimistic Vault-dweller with an all-American can-do spirit. Her peaceful and idealistic nature is tested when she is forced to the surface to rescue her father. Aaron Moten is Maximus, a young soldier who rises to the rank of squire in the militaristic faction called Brotherhood of Steel. He will do anything to further the Brotherhood’s goals of bringing law and order to the wasteland. Walton Goggins is the Ghoul, a morally ambiguous bounty hunter who holds within him a 200-year history of the post-nuclear world. These three meet when chasing an artifact from an enigmatic researcher that has the potential to radically change the power dynamic in this world.
