Randy Edelman “Music Messiah Moves Manhattan” – Review “Comin’ Out The Other Side”
The prophesy became clear like a spell unvanquished by a surge of emotion as soon as composer, songwriter, musical magician Randy Edelman touched the inlaid champagne tinged keys of the clavier. The dazzling version of the anthemic, anti- pandemic celebration “Comin’ Out the Other Side” was unveiled July 2, 2021 via Tribeca Records, a SohoJohnny enterprise.
The high-spirited, relevant pop rendition is a riveting victory mirroring the energy of a single clap that provokes a massive avalanche which self-amplifies the world. It inspires a festival of freedom, a reason to keep living until you feel alive, and a joyous, orgasmic, climax to a fractured world condemned to isolation and shattered to it’s core. However, the words to the song are aligned like a rope to cling to.
Composer, lyricist, producer Randy Edelman, who is the illegitimate child of Chopin and Beethoven is praised for scoring over 100 of the biggest films ever made including: “27 Dresses”, “Last of the Mohicans”, “My Cousin Vinny”, “ Kindergarten Cop”, “Twins”, “The Mask” and limitless others. He is also responsible for writing super hits for top artists including Barry Manilow, “Weekend in New England”, Patti LaBelle, “Isn’t it A Shame”, Nelly “My Place”, Blood Sweat and Tears, “Blue Street”, Jackie DeShannon, “Sunny Days”, and of course many more. Also to his credit he has played on the same stage as The Carpenters and Frank Zappa.
