We’d argue that Modern Family star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons is having a fantastic Pride month.
First the actress, who played Lily Tucker-Pritchett, the adopted daughter of Cam Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), on the hit US sitcom, came out as bisexual.
On TikTok Anderson-Emmons lip synced to the audio of an iconic scene from the sitcom. In it Lily is believes she is gay because her parents are.
Gloria Delgado-Pritchett (Sofia Vergara) tells the youngster: “You are Vietnamese”. Lily then replies: “No, I’m not, I’m gay, I’m gay,” to which Mitchell replies, “Honey, no, you’re not gay. You are just confused!”
Anderson-Emmons added the caption “People keep joking so much abt me being gay when I literally am (I’m bi)” onto the video.
And now, the 18-year-old is teasing us with a new project – a musical career.

In a clip from a music video posted on Tuesday (17 June) Anderson-Emmons slow dances with a girl. As she does so she sings, “It’s time for me to go / Love, don’t forget me when I’m gone”.
Then the title “Don’t Forget Me” appears over the video with the date 27 June. The video was also captioned “new music coming soon!”
The short and sweet snippet of the song was enough to get fans of the actress excited with one posting in the comments, “do you have a spotify? i want to scream your songs in the car till i can’t breath”.
Someone else wrote, “OH MY GODD I LOVEE THIS,” while another put, “oh my god i can’t wait for this !!”
Anderson-Emmons joined Modern Family in 2011 during season 3 and remained a part of the cast until its final season in 2020.
The Emmy-winning sitcom is widely recognised for having one of the most celebrated gay couples on TV, Mitch and Cam.
