Carey Mulligan Joins Adam Sandler in Netflix Sci-fi Movie ‘Spaceman’

Jaroslav Kalfař’s 2017 novel Spaceman of Bohemia is getting a feature film adaptation from Netflix, and The Wrap reports that Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman) has signed on.

Adam Sandler is also starring in the film, set to be directed by Johan Renck (“Chernobyl”).

The Wrap details, “The film stars Sandler as an astronaut sent to the edges of the galaxy to collect an ancient, mysterious dust. But as life on Earth begins to crumble, he turns to a creature from the beginning of time that is lurking aboard his ship for help to save humanity.”

Mulligan will be playing the wife of Sandler’s character.
