“Kingdom: Ashin of the North”: Special Episode of the Netflix Zombie Series on the Way This Year

There are thus far two seasons of the South Korean zombie series “Kingdom” streaming on Netflix, but before a third season we’re getting a spinoff episode this year. Described as a “special episode,” it’s titled “Kingdom: Ashin of the North,” and it tells the story of “Ashin,” the heiress to a northern Jurchen town who briefly appeared in the show’s season two finale. Jun Ji-Hyun and Park Byung-eun will star in this spinoff tale. The episode was directed by Kim Seong-hun. Get your first-look below with a couple teaser images....
