Ravens Kicker Justin Tucker Accused of Sexual Misconduct
Justin Tucker, the longtime placekicker for the Baltimore Ravens, has been accused of sexual misconduct by six massage therapists, according to a report from the Baltimore Banner published on Thursday.
The new report details allegations that would’ve occurred over four years from 2012 to 2016. The six women, who worked at four different spas and wellness centers in Baltimore, allege that Tucker’s behavior included exposing his genitals, touching them with his penis, and in three cases, leaving what they believed to be ejaculate on the massage table.
The Banner also reported that management at two of the spas told the publication that they’d banned Tucker over his behavior. Per the Banner, most of the six women the publication spoke to for the story maintained that they didn’t know each other. Some of the women who came forward for the story said that Tucker’s behavior started ambiguously but became more overt, stating that Tucker “repeatedly attempted to expose his genitals.”
Tucker’s attorneys Thomas A. Clare and Steven J. Harrison denied the claims to the Banner, saying that Tucker “has never behaved inappropriately during any massage therapy session, and certainly never in the manner described.”
Tucker isn’t the first NFL star to face allegations like these from massage therapists. Over two dozen massage therapists accused Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct back in 2021, filing civil suits against him. The NFL gave him a slap on the wrist, suspending him for six games, and most of the suits have been settled.
Placekickers are seldom stars in the NFL, but Tucker is an exception. He’s been the Ravens’ kicker since 2012 and is now regarded by many as one of the greatest kickers of all time, setting the record for longest field goal ever back in 2021 and being named first team All-Pro five times in his career.
Taking to social media on Thursday, Tucker called the allegations “unequivocally false” in an extensive statement posted on X, formerly Twitter. He said that he’d “never before been accused of misconduct of anytime. He said the Banner in particular was “deliberately misconstruing events as nefarious” while calling the newspaper’s report “desperate tabloid fodder.”
“I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session,” Tucker wrote. “I would never intent to offend or hurt anyone, ever.”
A rep for the Ravens said that the team is “aware of the Baltimore Banner’s story regarding Justin Tucker as well as his response. We take any allegations of this nature seriously and will continue to monitor the situation.”
A rep for the NFL didn’t respond to request for comment.
