Jennifer Lawrence Wore a Bodycon Maternity Dress and Joked About Having ‘a Ton of Sex’ During Hiatus
Jennifer Lawrence’s Don’t Look Up press tour continued last night with a stop at The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and the actress put her chic maternity style on display. She wore a form-fitting polka dot Oscar de la Renta dress on the show, with her blonde hair down in shiny loose waves.
Lawrence spoke to Colbert about what she did during her three-year hiatus from acting. “Just had a ton of sex [over the last three years],” she answered playfully. “I’m joking. I cooked a little. The pandemic happened and then I cooked and cleaned a lot.”
On a more serious note, Colbert asked her what she learned from her time away from being a public figure, pointing out that Lawrence was in the spotlight for a decade before stepping back.
“The things that I learned are so deep and profound, I don’t want to tell you,” Lawrence admitted. But she did share some detail: “It was really nice. I’ve always found comfort in a schedule and doing something and being somewhere and just kind of the comfort of being on set where the work is one thing and very organized, you know, there’s not like people screaming when you go. And I think coming out of Hunger Games and all that, it was nice. I took a break, and nobody really cared, and it was quiet, and I got to feel like I could become a part of the world again without literal fanfare.”
The two did not really talk about her pregnancy, as Lawrence made clear in her Vanity Fair interview that she intends to keep it and details about her child private.
