Billie Eilish Shows Off Brunette Hair In Burgundy Coat On the Hitmakers Brunch Pink Carpet
Billie Eilish debuted her new brunette locks on Instagram this week before taking her look to the pink carpet on Saturday at Variety‘s 2021 Music Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles. The 19-year-old wore a monochrome burgundy ensemble including an enormous anorak coat that brushed the floor. Her loose fitting top and baggy pants in matching color peeked through the open zipper.
She paired the outfit with simple gold chains through a pearl pendant and large boots in the same rich color as her coat.
Another accessory, sunglasses in a semi cat-eye frame, made a brief appearance.
The event was presented by Peacock and its new show with executive producer Tiny Fey, Girls5Eva, a sitcom about a singing girl group finally reuniting. She was accompanied by her brother Finneas O’Connell. The sibling duo was awarded the Film Song of the Year prize at the event for their James Bond track, “No Time to Die.”
Creating a song for such an iconic franchise was a bit nerve wracking, Eilish explained in
Variety’s Hitmakers issue.
“I was nervous and very excited to try new things,” she said. “But I was very, very worried that I wouldn’t be able to do it, or that I wasn’t good enough or people wouldn’t like it. But I feel like we got it to such a place of having it feel very soft and just melancholy, and then also very strong and harsh, almost — and then powerful. Didn’t force it to be anything. It just became what it is.”
Eilish posed with friend and fellow hitmaker Olivia Rodrigo, who was wearing a black mesh dress by Calvin Luo featuring a green bow detail across the chest paired with Mary Jane platform heels with jeweled buckles. Rodrigo was awarded the Songwriter of the Year Award.
Other attendees included Lil Nas X, Lana Del Rey, Avril Lavigne, Tinashe, and Chloe Bailey.
