Kim Kardashian And Ex Kanye West Left For SNL Together Amid Reports of Reconciliation Efforts
Kim Kardashian was in New York City all week preparing for her role as the host of Saturday Night Live this weekend. The high pressure gig involves a lot of late nights and rehearsals, and Kardashian was supposedly putting in the time and getting in touch with all of her comedian friends to get ready for it. She was also allegedly speaking with her ex, Kanye West, and on the morning of Saturday, October 9, the two were seen leaving her hotel together.
Kardashian was wearing a full length hot pink coat and got into a waiting car with West before driving off to NBC Studios.
Rumors have been circulating that the ex-couple have been considering a reconciliation, but West has also performed on SNL multiple times, to mixed results, and a source told E! News that she has just been reaching out to him for advice.
“Kim has consulted with Kanye and asked for feedback. She values his opinion creatively and artistically,” said the source. “They’ve talked about some different ideas and he has been very supportive.”
The one-time couple was married for six years before Kardashian filed for divorce this past February, but they have recently been seen together out to dinner in Malibu, CA, and Kardashian recently showed her support for West’s new album. She arrived at his “Donda” listening party wearing a wedding dress and walked up to him on stage.
“She knows his mind is full of genius ideas and they like to collaborate together,” the source continued. “Kanye loves helping and they bond over the creative conversations.”
During her opening monologue, Kardashian joked about her divorce.
“I’ve been very blessed in this life, and I’m grateful for everything, honestly, all the ups, all the downs,” Kardashian said. “I mean, I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America, a talented, legit genius, who gave me four incredible kids… So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality. I know it sounds mean, but people keep telling me that comedy comes from truth. And if there’s one thing that I always strive to be, it’s genuine.”
