If you were poking around Kickstarter a few years ago, you might have come across Bleak Faith: Forsaken, an open-world survival horror action RPG from Mišo Vukčević. Vukčević has finally announced that the game will finally see a release later this year for PC on Steam, with versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later date.

While the dev team have admittedly not been updating the official site as much as they can (development and all), much of the info for Bleak Faith comes from the Kickstarter page: You are one of the Forsaken, the last frontier of humanity against the growing horrors of the Omnistructure. As you find yourself stranded in a faraway outpost, you must adapt in order to survive. The world won’t wait for you though, you must venture into the unknown – your faith will decide your fate.

A mashup of cyberpunk, and dark fantasy—Bleak Faith aims to “provide an emergent narrative method coupled with more structured traditional moments.” With an estimated 30+ hours of content, a deep class system, and a procedural AI system, Bleak Faith also seeks to offer “tight and meticulously crafted and expanded” combat, with a complex faction system for its world inhabitants.

And, seeing as this is part RPG, you’ll have to choose your class, upgrade your stats and equipment, as well as craft, scavenge and hunt in order to survive.

Apart from the Kickstarter page, you can keep tabs on the game via its official Twitter.
