Watch Pedro Pascal in The Fantastic Four: First Steps official clip

Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (Marvel Entertainment)
The first official clip of Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps has dropped – and fans can’t contain themselves.
Pedro Pascal world domination continues, as everyone’s favourite Daddy will soon return to the big screen as Reed Richards – better known as Mister Fantastic – in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Marvel’s first family is set to (finally) enter the MCU after several live action iterations of the quartet, with The Last of Us‘s Pascal as the elastic genius, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/ Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/ Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/ The Thing.
They’re joined by Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as the planet-swallowing Galactus, but in the first official clip for the film, posted today (7 July), the four are having a nice, civilised family dinner, at 7 – on the dot.
The clip gives away a pretty large plot point of the film that most people have, by now, figured out from the title of the film; Sue is pregnant.
“You’re late,” Johnny tells Reed and Sue as they enter the kitchen. Johnny is referring to dinner-time – but from Sue’s taken-aback reaction (“What do you mean?”), Ben figures out that the family are soon to become a fantastic five.
In the Marvel comic books for the Fantastic Four, Reed and Sue are parents to a super-powered bundle of joy called Franklin; a very powerful hero with vast reality-manipulating and psionic powers. Could that have something to do with Galactus’s visit to earth? Ahhhh, probably not.
The clip has generated a slew of praise for the quartet, with the group’s chemistry a focal point.
“If I haven’t made it obvious already. IM SEATED,” one fan wrote, with another adding: “Love the family dynamic.”
“Oh I absolutely adore the chemistry and family dynamic between the characters in this clip. I was already sold on this cast but now I’m even more on board with all of them in these roles,” another added.
YESSS IT’S FANTASTIC

The film, which was branded ‘woke’ immediately after Garner’s casting as the Silver Surfer, is set in the 1960s, and will see the Fantastic Four attempt to defend their home from Galactus. Matt Shakman is director.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits cinemas 25 July, 2025.
