Yungblud has opened up about his pansexuality, saying he feels “less insecure” about his identity nowadays.
The 27-year-old “Zombie” singer – real name Dominic Harrison – is Attitude’s July/August cover star and told the LGBTQ+ outlet he is so pansexual he is “the f**king saucepan”.
“I am the pan man — I’m the fucking saucepan,” Yungblud said. “Because it’s the [label] that allows me to be who I am; it’s the one with the most room for manoeuvre.
“Do you know what I’m saying? I do feel like I am less insecure about it.”
Yungblud has previously shut down allegations that he ‘queerbaits’ fans, a term which refers to people – usually notable names in pop culture – attempting to attract an LGBTQ+ audience by hinting at having an queer identity or same-sex relationships, without ever being explicit.
Discussing the matter on the We Need to Talk podcast with Paul C. Brunsen, the artist said: “I’ve f**ked everyone under the sun and that’s the vibe.
“I love love. And if it’s a vibe, it’s a vibe.”
Chatting to Brunsen, Yungblud said “People can formulate an idea on something they don’t even know,” before reiterating that “if the person’s a vibe the person’s a vibe” regarding his attraction to people.

This was not the first time he spoke about his identity, as in a 2020 interview with Hunger magazine he said it felt important for him to “own these labels”.
YungBlud said: “I was just like with it all; ‘I’m pan, you know what I’m saying?’ It doesn’t matter what genitalia you’ve got or what you identify as, if I love you, I love you and that’s it, and that’s (something) I’ve struggled with my whole life, because I didn’t know what I was.
“I couldn’t quite put a label on it, then I learned about pansexuality from magazines and the internet and I think it’s so beautiful that sexuality has really come to the forefront of my generation’s mind, that you can be beautifully yourself.
“What I want to encourage with my message is that no matter what you are, no matter how you want to express yourself, you are individual and you are beautiful just by simply existing.
“I wanted to make a stand so that if anyone’s out there scared to come out, they will come out.”
In 2020 he also came out as polyamorous, telling Attitude: “I love everyone, I’m attracted to everyone.”
