RuPaul finally gives Raven a Drag Race crown in All Stars 10

RuPaul has finally given Raven a Drag Race crown… sort of. (World of Wonder/Paramount+)
It’s approximately 15 years in the making, but RuPaul used the recent All Stars 10 episode to finally give RuPaul’s Drag Race star Raven what’s rightfully hers: a crown.
Warning: spoiler alert for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars episode 10.
In the most recent episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10, Raven was joined by her Fashion Photo RuView co-star and actual Drag Race winner Raja as the celebrity guests for the season’s highly-anticipated Snatch Game challenge.
The episode, episode 10, saw the three winners of each of the three individual All Stars 10 brackets come together for the first time, with the Snatch Game acting as the first challenge of the semi-finals.
A number of the queens, namely Ginger Minj as singer Reba McEntire and Jorgeous as rapper Pitbull, excited RuPaul, while Cynthia Lee Fontaine, who played Dracula, and Mistress Isabelle Brooks as Bad Girls Club star Natalie Nunn, failed to impress, and landed in the bottom.
Yet one of the moments that seems to have sent the Drag Race fandom over the edge has nothing to do with the competing queens at all.
As the Snatch Game wrapped up, RuPaul declared that the winner of the challenge was actually guest star, Raven.

While it’s fairly standard RuPaul practice to crown someone who isn’t actually competing in the Snatch Game as the winner of the challenge, crowning Raven just hits different for the Drag Race fandom.
For the uninitiated, if there are any of you here, Raven has missed out on a Drag Race crown twice: once to King Tyra, formerly known as Tyra Sanchez, during season two, and then again to Chad Michaels in the inaugural All Stars season in 2012.
Both times, the result has been contentious, with many Drag Race fans believing Raven – who has since become RuPaul’s makeup artist – is deserving of a season win.

In recent years, fans have also begun begging RuPaul to strip King Tyra of their crown and give it to Raven, owing to the former being embroiled in a string of controversies.
Tyra has been arrested on numerous occasions in recent years, most recently in 2023, when he was apprehended for hosting a protest against a previous arrest while brandishing a dildo. The protest caused a traffic jam.
In January, following the death of fellow Drag Race winner The Vivienne, Tyra posted offensive messages about her passing on social media and was widely criticised by fellow Drag Race stars.
RuPaul herself appeared to respond to the posts too, sharing a video of herself slapping Tyra as part of a skit featured in season two.
Tyra once again posted derogatory messages on social media following the death of Drag Race Philippines judge Jiggly Caliente in April.
While it seems unlikely that RuPaul is officially passing the season two crown over to Raven, the fandom appears to be taking it that way regardless.

“RuPaul giving Raven the season 2 crown was the best part of Snatch Game,” one wrote.
“The real WINNER of Season 2. As it should be. Tyra OFFICIALLY dethroned,” a second declared.
A third shared: “Our rightful winner, finally CROWNED. Congratulations RAVEN!”
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 airs on Fridays on Paramount+ in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally.
