Push Trailer Pits Pregnant Woman Against Home Invader

A pregnant realtor bites off more than she can chew when she attempts a daunting open house. That’s before it turns into a harrowing siege in the new trailer for Push.

David Charbonier and Justin Powell (The Boy Behind the DoorThe Djinn) are back with upcoming home invasion horror movie releasing on Shudder July 11, 2025.

Alicia Sanz (El Cid) and Raúl Castillo (Smile 2) lead the cast.

In the film, “Haunted by the memory of her late fiancé, Natalie Flores (Sanz) finds herself 8 months pregnant and in desperate need of a new start. Determined to regain her sense of self, she moves to America and uses her real estate license to take on a challenging listing.  However, she soon discovers her new beginning may be a deadly end when she catches the eye of a sadistic killer (Castillo, Smile 2) at her open house. After becoming stranded at the property, Natalie falls into premature labor, starting a physiological ticking clock as she must find a way to escape before she gives birth.”

Written and directed by Charbonier and Powell, Push is produced by Ryan Scaringe and executive produced by Amy Lippens, Jilbert Daniel, Del Charbonier, Sanz and Castillo.

Check out the new trailer and poster below, which increases the home invasion horror stakes with the looming threat of labor while stranded at a remote, creepy house.

I wrote in my review, “Charbonier and Powell operate on a level that strips away all pretenses and excess, leaving nothing behind but a lean, mean home invasion thriller that plays like a breathless chase in a briskly paced 90-minute runtime. While the throwback feel and cinematic influences lend a familiarity, Push still surprises with its uncanny ability to unnerve. That has as much to do with its two strong lead performances as it does with the filmmakers themselves, who once again make sustained, visceral suspense seem like an effortless art form.”

Stay tuned.
