Co-op Survival Horror Title ‘Whisper Mountain Outbreak’ Comes to Steam Q3 2025 [Trailer]

Those who miss the Resident Evil Outbreak games have something in the vein of Capcom’s underappreciated series to look forward to later this year from Toge Productions and their upcoming isometric co-op Survival Horror title, Whisper Mountain Outbreak. The developer has announced a Q3 2025 release date window for the game, which has been in the works since 2023. A demo is also available.

Taking place in 1998, a mining operation on Mount Bisik has inadvertently unleashed an ancient horror when the mining crew disturbed a ruin buried deep inside the mountain. Soon, people in the town started hearing whispers and seeing monsters when a mysterious fog suddenly appeared and covered the area surrounding the mountain. You and your fellow agents have been assigned to solve the outbreak behind the mining operation, but soon find yourselves trapped.

Staying true to Survival Horror tropes, in Whisper Mountain Outbreak, you and your friends will have to deal with monsters using a variety of melee and ranged weapons, scrounge up the limited resources such as herbs to restore health, and protect each other’s back. You’ll need to work together in order to solve puzzles, find keys, unlock doors, and figure out a way to escape the cursed mountain. Teamwork is key, so you’ll need to communicate with the in-game chat wheel, as well as save downed teammates, and share the scarce resources you find. Luckily, you have access to a safe house, where you can regroup and prepare for your next objective.

Along the way, you’ll be reading notes, talking with NPCs, and learning more about the town that’s enveloped in the fog, and the people that inhabit it.
