New Launch Trailer for ‘Alien: Rogue Incursion’ Gets the Adrenaline and Terror Flowing [Video]
Much like its predecessor, Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is heading to Kickstarter. Developer The Farm 51 made the announcement that the game will be launching a Kickstarter campaign soon in order to address what the team says, according to fans, is missing from this sequel. This comes after releasing a new gameplay trailer.
“A few months ago, we released the first teaser and trailer for Chernobylite 2,” reads the press release from The Farm 51. “Once again, we received tons of valuable feedback from Chernobylite players and gamers who haven’t experienced the original game. While the overall reception was very positive, many people felt that something was missing—some feature that made the first part such an enjoyable experience for them.
We’ve listened to your feedback and are here to address that issue. When so many of you, after watching the trailers, expressed concerns that our vision might be heading in a direction that wouldn’t allow you to play the way you truly want, we’re ready to adapt—as we did many times during the Early Access phase of Chernobylite.”
Unlike the original game, which leaned more into Survival Horror, Chernobylite 2 will instead be a post-apocalyptic action RPG, blending free exploration of a huge, extremely realistic open world with challenging combat, unique crafting, team and base management, and non-linear storytelling.
Players take on the role of a planeswalker, who travels through parallel worlds in search of the precious, high-energy material called Chernobylite. Cut off from the world, trapped in the Zone, and attacked by hordes of nightmare creatures, you must fight for survival and unite the handful of remaining survivors.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is aiming for release in 2025 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.
