Taylor Swift Debuts ‘The Bolter,’ ‘Crazier’ Live: Watch

Taylor Swift performed her second Eras Tour concert in Edinburgh, Scotland at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday, where she delivered surprise songs “The Bolter” and “Crazier” live for the first time.

During “The Bolter” from The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, she seamlessly blended Reputation’s “Getaway Car,” a fitting mashup for the need-to-run-away themes of both songs. “There’s escape in escaping,” she sang from “The Bolter” before merging into the lyrics, “We were jet-set, Bonnie and Clyde” from “Getaway Car” to ecstatic cheers from the audience.

During the surprise section, Swift also took to the piano and launched into Lover outtake “All of the Girls You Loved Before.” After performing the first verse, refrain, and chorus, she said, “You get extra credit points if you know this next song at all, ‘cause it is really, really old.” She then launched into “Crazier,” which appears on the soundtrack for 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. The segue elicited a fan sing-along.

On Friday, the first night of her three-day run in Edinburgh, she congratulated a couple who got engaged, which she witnessed from the stage. As she was finishing up “Cardigan,” she remarked, “I love performing this entire show in the sunlight ’cause I’m pretty sure I just saw somebody get engaged over here,” she said. “Did it happen?” Swift said, gesturing towards where she thought she saw it occurring. The audience cheered as confirmation. “Yes!” Swift said, smiling.

“You have no idea, I never get to see that, right? ‘Cause it’s dark, usually, at night. But it’s not right now, so congratulations! Wow. I saw that whole thing! Man, that’s amazing,” she said, before thanking the couple for choosing to get engaged at her show.

Swift wraps her third and final Eras Tour show in Edinburgh on Sunday before continuing on to Liverpool, England for a three-night run at Anfield Stadium next week. The U.K. and European leg of the Eras Tour continues through August before she heads to Canada for a string of dates to close out 2024.
