Watch Florence Pugh Take Fans Behind the Scenes on ‘Thunderbolts’ Set
The forthcoming Marvel film is currently shooting in Atlanta
Florence Pugh is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Yelena Belova in Thunderbolts, which has started production in Atlanta. The Oppenheimer actress shared a behind-the-scenes video from the film studio on her Instagram page, teasing the sets and crew.
“Hey guys, how are you doing?” she says in the video while wearing Yelena’s combat suit. “I know I’ve dropped off for a little bit, but that’s partially because I was whisked off to Atlanta to shoot a movie that I’m not really supposed to talk about. But I can show you things, sneakily, as long as you don’t tell anyone.”
She then takes viewers from her trailer into the soundstage, where she sneaks up on director Jake Schreier and asks what she can show people. “I don’t even think you’re supposed to be doing this,” Schreier replies as she pans to a playback monitor that showcases Yelena in a fighting stance.
Thunderbolts stars Pugh alongside returning Marvel cast members Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Harbour, and Olga Kurylenko. It is being directed by Schreier and was written by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin, and Joanna Calo. Steven Yeun and Ayo Edebiri previously joined the cast, but exited earlier this year and were replaced by Lewis Pullman and Geraldine Viswanathan. Thunderbolts is scheduled to hit theaters May 2, 2025.
Pugh previously played Yelena in 2021’s Black Widow and in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
