‘Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist’ Out Now in Early Access on Steam

Binary Haze Interactive and developers Live Wire and Adglobe’s follow-up to their gothic Metroidvania Ender Lilies in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is out now in Early Access on Steam. The teams plan to keep the game in Early Access for “approximately six months to one year”, based on player feedback and suggestions. Ender Magnolia will eventually be making its way to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and the Nintendo Switch.

As mentioned before, the Early Access version of Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist includes the first few areas of the game, but the teams are planning to add more areas, unique enemies, player actions and bosses, as well as “enriched game mechanics and story elements.”

“The feedback we received from the Ender Lilies community has been a major contributor to the development of Ender Magnolia,” says Hiroyuki Kobayashi, CEO, Binary Haze Interactive. “We encourage everyone to lend their voice during Early Access, and we have much more to share at 1.0, stay tuned!”

The sequel to the critically-acclaimed dark fantasy metroidvania, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist takes place decades after Ender Lilies and its Rain of Death. A new journey begins in the Land of Fumes, where the kingdom’s desire for conquest led to the creation of the Homunculi, machine-like artificial lifeforms. A recent resource-harvesting mission gone awry caused toxic vapors to emerge from underground, driving both man and machine to feral madness.

As the Homonculi devolve into dangerous creatures, players take on the role of Lilac, an “Attuner” with the power to purify those infected by the fumes, who must save the kingdom. Aiding Lilac are friendly machines and Spirit Reapers who fights at Lilac’s command. Convert enemy bosses into allies by purifying their souls, then employ their skills to add 30 enhanced attack and movement abilities to Lilac’s disposal. Level up abilities at rest points, and equip up to four friendly powers at once to adjust to any combat situation.
