Sharon Stone Names Producer Who Allegedly Said She Sleep With Co-Star

Sharon Stone alleged on the latest episode of The Louis Theroux Podcast that producer Robert Evans suggested she have sex with her Sliver co-star William “Billy” Baldwin in order to improve their chemistry.

In a conversation about her career in Hollywood, the actress alleged the incident took place during production of the 1993 thriller directed by Phillip Noyce. Stone said she “should’ve been on set” at the time when Evans asked her to meet him in his office.

“He’s running around his office in his sunglasses, explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better,” Stone claimed. “And we needed Billy to get better in the movie, because that was the problem.”

The actress continued, claiming the producer thought, “If I could sleep with Billy, then we would have chemistry onscreen, and if I would just have sex with him then that would save the movie. And the real problem in the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress, who could just fuck him and get things back on track. And the real problem was that I was such a tight ass.”

Reps for Evans did not immediately reply to Rolling Stone’s request for comment. Reps for Baldwin declined to comment.

Stone previously described the alleged conversation in her 2021 memoir The Beauty of Living Twice but did not name the producer at the time. Evans died in 2019 and the age of 89. The producer gained recognition in the industry due to his work on acclaimed films such as 1968’s Rosemary’s Baby and The Godfather, which released in 1972.

The actress, who had starred in the blockbuster film Basic Instinct the year prior to Sliver, also said, “I didn’t have to fuck Michael Douglas. Michael could come to work and know how to hit those marks, and do that line, and rehearse and show up. Now all of a sudden I’m in the ‘I have to fuck people‘ business.”

After the podcast aired on Tuesday, Baldwin responded to Stone’s allegations on X/Twitter. “Not sure why Sharon Stone keep talking about me all these years later? Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances?” he wrote. He also accused Stone of telling model Janice Dickinson after he screen tested that she was “‘gonna make him fall so hard for me, it’s gonna make his head spin.’”

Along with a still from Sliver, he further claimed, “I have so much dirt on her it would make her head spin but I’ve kept quiet. The story of the meeting I had with Bob Evans imploring him allow me to choreograph the final sex scene in the photo below so I wouldn’t have to kiss Sharon is absolute legend. Wonder if I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales about Sharon? That might be fun.”
