Physical Version of ‘Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle’ Arrives on Xbox Series, Xbox One This April

The Switch release for Clover Bite’s GRIME has been a long time coming, but it’s finally happening later this month. GRIME, will debut for the Nintendo Switch on January 25th, coinciding with the release of the Definitive Edition of the game. This version will include the third and final DLC for the game, Parting Shade, which is headed to all available platforms.

Details on the Parting Shade DLC are still to come, though the press release states that players will have to “conjure all of their might as they face their biggest challenges yet” in a new explorable area, forcing even the most veteran of metroidvania players to “lock-in and fight toe-to-toe with adversity”.

Rooting itself in the Metroidvania playerscape with its anatomical horror and Soulslike levelling progression, GRIME you play as a humanoid being after having been “squeezed into existence” from unusual material. Born into an alien world, you survive by crushing your foes with living weapons that mutate form and function, and then consume their remains with a black hole to strengthen yourself in a world of “anatomical horror and intrigue.”

GRIME is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG.

Clover Bite is also hard at work on the recently-announced sequel, GRIME II, which is currently in development on PC via Steam. No console releases have been announced as of yet.
