The coolest Scandi trendsetters are wearing baggy denim, maxi-skirts, and retro tracksuits.

It is a universal truth that as soon as August hits, the style-obsessed start thinking about fall fashion. It doesn’t matter if you live for the dog days of summer and feel most alive when the temperatures soar, thoughts of tall boots, chunky knits and cool coats inevitably start creeping in. Lucky for us, Copenhagen fashion week takes place right around the time we’re involuntarily filling our virtual carts with autumn clothes despite the fact that all we can wear in most cities is a breezy linen sack. The Scandi city can be notoriously chilly and a little rainy this time of year which means, despite the spring 2024 fashion on the runway, the style on the Copenhagen streets is decidedly fall-forward. We’re talking baggy denim, sporty maxi-skirts, retro tracksuits and lush outerwear. But don’t fret — the ever-chic Danish show-goers never shies away from a joyful pop of colour or cheeky hat, so the street style isn’t all gloomy fall vibes.
