Sources Speak Out on Rumor Taylor Swift and Matty Healy Are Dating Again
Taylor Swift and Matty Healy’s brief summer romance is stirring up rumors again that some sources are trying to forcefully shut down. The Sun—the outlet that originally broke the news of Healy and Swift dating—published a report claiming Swift and Healy were back on. Multiple sources spoke to Page Six and People about the situation.
The response was clear for People: No, Swift and Healy aren’t together. Sources close to both parties spoke out.
A source close to Swift said, “They are absolutely not together and aren’t even in contact anymore. She is enjoying being single and has been spending time in the studio and hanging out with friends in New York City. This is all B.S..” (Page Six published the same quote in its own report.)
A source close to Healy added, “It’s complete nonsense. Not true at all.” Reps for Swift and Healy did not respond to the outlet’s request for comment.
Still, Page Six reported that Swift and Healy’s relationship status is unclear. “While one source claims the two are back on, Page Six is told it’s ‘all BS,’” the outlet wrote. The source that said they were back on appears to be The Sun‘s source.
The Sun claimed a friend of the former couple revealed they were talking again. “There is just something electric between them and they seem to have overcome it all quite quickly and decided they definitely want to make it work at all costs,” that source alleged. “They’re arranging time together in between tour dates and talking all the time. He’s utterly smitten and it seems to be mutual. It sounds as though there may have been some issues behind the scenes, but he’s made changes to fix them.” The Sun reported that Healy fired a female crew member. Page Six reported that The Sun‘s source said of the reasoning, “It sounds as though there may have been a bit of an issue over her closeness to Matty.”
“One thing is for sure, he isn’t letting anything come between his chances of making it work with Taylor,” The Sun‘s source finished.
Neither Swift nor Healy have publicly responded to rumors, but People receiving intel from both sides shutting them down is a very big nail in the coffin.
