Blake Lively Showed Rare Look at Maternity Style During Night Out With Friends

On Friday night, actress Blake Lively stepped out with a friend in Manhattan for an evening on the town, showing off a rare maternity look. The 35-year-old is expecting her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds; she revealed her pregnancy on the red carpet at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit in September, wearing a short gold sequined dress that stretched over her baby bump.

In NYC this week, Lively wore a long black dress with white buttons at the neckline, a long loose grey coat, black boots, and a crossbody phone case. She left her long blonde hair down in her classic waves look.

The celebrity couple have three girls, Betty, 2, Ines, 5, and James, 7. Reynolds told People in June that being a girl dad is “wild.”

“I’m a parent of three girls. They’re wild. I think they have rabies sometimes,” he joked. “I’m like any parent—I’ll have a moment where I’ll just snap. It’s not so much what you do in the moment that’s interesting, it’s what you do afterwards.”

He added more philosophically, “I used to tell my kids, ‘Don’t waste your mistakes.’ When you’re making mistakes it’s easy to be absorbed by shame and this idea that you’ve done something wrong, but you also have to look at it critically and use it as a stepping stone to learning something profound.”

On November 7, while making an appearance on the TODAY Show, Reynolds said he was hoping for a fourth girl.

“I know girls, so I’m kind of hoping that but I’m ready for whatever,” he said, though apparently the couple never finds out the sex of the baby before birth.

Reynolds grew up as the youngest of four boys and joked, “We were just arsonists and firemen.”
