Blake Lively Is Very ‘Relieved’ That Everyone Knows She’s Pregnant With Fourth Child

On Thursday, September 15, Blake Lively revealed she is expecting her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds by showing off her baby bump on the red carpet of the 10th annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit. According to a source speaking with US Weekly, it’s a huge relief that her pregnancy is out in the open.

“Blake is relieved that the secret is out. She held it in until she couldn’t anymore!” the insider said. “She loves dressing up her baby bump and wanted to make a statement. She’s truly glowing.”

Lively certainly was glowing in her short golden semi-sheer dress covered in sequins. She left her long blond hair down, pushed back with a headband, and wore a long white scarf to match her high platform white heels.

The 35-year-old actress has three daughters, James, 7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2. She and Reynolds began dating in 2011, and the actor recently announced a retirement from acting so he could spend more time at home with his family as the girls are growing up.

In October 2021, he told The Hollywood Reporter, “I’m just trying to create a little bit more space for my family. You know, you really don’t get that time back.”

Though they discuss being parents, the couple tries to respect their children’s privacy as much as possible. Lively told Marie Claire way back in 2016 that she wanted her kids to have a “normal childhood.”

“My husband and I chose a profession and a side effect of that is your personal life is public,” she said. “Our child hasn’t had the opportunity to choose whether or not she wants her personal life to be public or not. So in order to give her as much normality as possible, we want her to have a childhood like we had. We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had, because we’d feel really selfish.”
