Priyanka Chopra Shares Rare Photo Of Herself With Baby Malti

This weekend, Priyanka Chopra posted both to her Instagram timeline and to her Stories with photos of her baby girl Malti Marie, much to the delight of her followers. Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas announced the birth of their daughter via surrogacy in January of this year, saying, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

On Saturday, Chopra shared a snap of her aunt Kiran Mathur holding the baby in what looks like their yard and she captioned it, “Love you chhoti nani.”

As usual, Malti Marie’s face was hidden. Chopra and Jonas have been very careful about exposing their daughter’s face online, though they like to share glimpses of her in their daily lives. The new mom then added photos to her timeline on Sunday in which she is holding Malti in a chair out by the pool and taking a selfie, plus one in which she is looking down lovingly at the baby, who has her feet pressed against her mom’s face.

In the photos, Malti is wearing an adorable little headband in yellow with a matching frilled onesie, a bracelet on her wrist, and an anklet made up of small beads and heart-shaped charms. Her mom has on a white button down and several delicate gold necklaces.

She captioned them, “Love like no other.”

The married couple maintains close relationships with their extended family, and the baby’s name is actually an homage to Chopra’s mother, Madhu Malti Chopra and Jonas’ mother Denise Marie Jonas, combining their middle names. Madhu Chopra is often at their house to help out with childcare, and recently told The New Indian Express, “I give a massage and Nick gives her a bath and changes her diapers.”
