Upcoming 1.9 Update for ‘Hunt: Showdown’ Introduces Black Market, Weapon Changes and More

Crytek has revealed the details for their upcoming 1.9 update to their PvPvE shooter Hunt: Showdown. The update will not only address the usual fixes, but also comes with a wealth of tweaks and additions to the gameplay.

For starters, the 1.9 update will address desync issues that players have experienced, namely the “teleporting” that some players have noticed while climbing up a hill, for example. The patch notes state that the devs “have improved the error correction in game which should allow for faster and fairer feedback in those instances where desync can occur.”

There have also been balancing changes for ammo and guns in the Hunt: Showdown update, notably with The Uppercut handgun. The Uppercut has been “a very versatile weapon in most situations”, thanks to is high damage output at various ranges. Crytek has decided to nerf the gun slightly to encourage players to rely on other weapons in their arsenal. This also comes with tweaks to rate of fire, reload speed and damage output for other weapons such as the Winfield 1876 Centennial and the Winfield 1887 Terminus.

The Hunt: Showdown update will also introduce The Black Market, where players can purchase Legendary content from several infamous vendors. All vendors will have their own theme, as well as a specific type of content which players can purchase for the best possible Blood Bonds price in the game. Each vendor will have limited stock, however. Once all items have been purchased, you will no longer be able to interact with the vendor. New offers will be available with future updates.
