Watch Blackpink’s Jisoo’s Dior Runway Show Diary: It Was ‘Another Unforgettable Memory’
Dior ambassador Jisoo did more than just attend the French house’s fall/winter 2022 runway show last week in a very Clueless-like yellow plaid mini dress. She also recorded a diary of her experience so everyone could have an intimate look inside one of Paris Fashion Week’s most prestigious events. Watch the video, premiering on ELLE.com, above.
Jisoo narrated her day, saying in Korean, translated into English in Dior’s subtitles: “It’s been a little while since the spring/summer 2022 show. As always, Paris is thrilling, and there’s incredible energy here.”
Jisoo started by discussing the venue detail itself: “When I walked into the show space, the portraits of iconic female figures caught my eyes. I could instantly recognize artworks like Mona Lisa and Olympia. The cutout masterpieces and the doubled pairs of eyes brought a different and fresh perspective to established paintings. Being surrounded by those canvases made me feel like I was in an art salon.”
Then she talked fashion: “My favorite look [in the show] was the Bar jacket!” she said. “I love the new twists that Maria Grazia Chiuri gives to this iconic piece every season. This season’s Bar jacket looked like it was about to inflate, which I’d love to try if I have a chance!”
She was very into the beauty as well. “Peter [Philips]’s runway makeup look is incredible every time,” she said. “This time, the delicate eye makeup was particularly impressive. The nude lips with Dior Addict, which is my favorite, completed the chic and fresh look.”
Overall, the show deeply moved Jisoo, who thanked Chiuri for having her. “[I] was ecstatic to experience Maria Grazia Chiuri’s vision beyond imagination in this perfect venue,” she said. “I want to send her my gratitude for giving me another unforgettable memory through this show, and also a message of support that I am also truly inspired by how she shares her energy and is not afraid of challenges.”
