Britney Spears celebrated her “free woman energy” by posting liberated selfies and sipping on her first glass of wine in 13 years.
The pop icon took to Instagram Thursay (6 January) and opened up about the freedoms she has enjoyed since her conservatorship ended, including being able to just enjoy a glass of wine.
In a series of Notes app screenshots posted to Instagram, Britney Spears described a wholesome and “magical” night out at an unnamed but “very nice place in Los Angeles”.
She admitted she didn’t have “any expectations” for the evening as she was just told “the food was great here”.
So she put on a “loose dress” and “high boots” so she could feel cute at dinner.
“It was absolutely beautiful,” she wrote. “I looked up and it was a glass roof, I could see the stars.”
Britney asked the restaurant to”surprise her with her order, and said the food made her “feel my body coming to life”.
She also enjoyed her first glass of red wine “in 13 years”, she wrote.
“I felt more sexy in that restaurant than I ever had in my entire life.”
Keeping that energy going, Britney shared a second post featuring a series of nude selfies.
“Free woman energy has never felt better,” she captioned the pictures, showing her wearing nothing but a choker and a pair of white knee-high socks with some cleverly placed emojis.
Since being freed from her conservatorship last year, the pop icon has often taken to Instagram to share personal milestones and to revel in her newfound freedom.
She previously shared a series of censored nude photos after her dad was suspended from the legal arrangement in October.
Britney said her night out was so good it “made me want to cry” – so she did.
“I cried over food in this beautiful restaurant,” she said. “I couldn’t believe what I was experiencing with this food.”
Britney ended her first post by saying her night out was honestly “one of the most magical experiences of my life”, and she’ll “never forget it”.
In December, the popstar told fans that they had “no idea” the “awful things that were done to me personally” while she was under conservatorship.
She recalled asking for “13 years to perform new songs and remixes of my songs”, but she was “told ‘no’” every time.
Spears added that not performing her music is a “way of saying ‘f**k you’ in a sense when it actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work”.
“I am scared of people and the business,” she added. “They really hurt me.”
