Lady Gaga casually ruins Pride Month by postponing The Chromatica Ball to 2022

Lady Gaga has rained on all of our Pride parades by casually announcing that she’s postponing The Chromatica Ball again… until 2022.
The news was sent to devastated fans in an email from Ticketmaster to ticket holders, which contained a “special message from Lady Gaga” that read, “While some parts of the world are moving quickly to open up, others are not yet ready. So until we can confirm all global dates, we have to postpone The Chromatica Ball shows to the summer of 2022.”
The tour was initially announced on March 5 2020 – yes, very bad timing – with plans for a month-long six city event which would take place in stadiums around the world from Wrigley Field in Chigago to the Stade de France in Paris, plus Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Each of the dates were several days apart to allow for travel time and, presumably, the complexities involved in transporting the massive, incredible set that we now won’t get to see until next year.
Ticketmaster has told buyers to hang on to their current tickets as rescheduled dates are finalised. Refunds are currently not available, but will be at a future date – but unless the rescheduled event falls on your wedding day or something then presumably you’re still going to go. Or even if it does… after all, if they’re the right person for you, they’ll understand.
Lady Gaga recently announced plans for a 10th anniversary edition of Born This Way, which will include reinterpretations of Gaga’s classic songs performed by LGBT+ artists, including Big Freedia. She’s also released four exclusive Born This Way t-shirts in collaboration with Urban Outfitters, which would be ideal to wear to the rescheduled Chromatica Ball. Which at this rate will take place in 2055.
