Cardi B’s Optical-Illusion Sheer Dress Is Jaw Dropping
Cardi B seems to have caught on to a very important pandemic-era truth: When public outings are rare, you have to make them count. On Friday, she stepped out with her husband, Offset, for a shopping trip in Beverly Hills—wearing a sheer silhouette, which just happened to also be a white knit dress.
Truly. Mindblowing. She pairs the look with red, strappy heels:

Offset also posted these shots on his grid. On the second slide, you can see the back of the dress (for the full, genius silhouette):

Cardi B has been using her platform this year to speak out about systemic racism. In ELLE’s September 2020 cover story, the rapper shared her outrage over Breonna Taylor’s murder and called for justice for the 27-year-old Black EMT who was killed by police in Kentucky last March 13.
“That is so insane to me. [I saw] Breonna Taylor’s name everywhere, but I didn’t really know her story,” Cardi says. “What they did to her is really fucked up. Really fucked up. She went on: “What’s the excuse? Why is the cop not in jail? Wasn’t what he did a crime? It’s a crime! And no apology. No apology. No video of the cop coming out crying, ‘I fucked up. I don’t this. I don’t that.’ Nothing. It’s nothing. I don’t even know how her mom still holds her head up. Unbelievable.”
